S. Paul Simpson
Position: Chairman & Director

Mr. Simpson is a Vancouver based corporate securities lawyer with the firm Armstrong Simpson. He has over 18 years experience, predominately advising public companies with international natural resource property holdings. He has been a director and officer of a number of public companies, including companies with resource assets in China.

 
Andre Gauthier
Position: President and CEO, Director

Andre Gauthier has over 30 years experience in the mining exploration business. He has a very high reputation as an international explorationist and previously headed Cambior's operations in the Andes and Peru for 9 years. He participated in the discovery of their "La Arena" gold deposit, among multiple other successes in acquisitions, discoveries and developments of precious metal and base metal projects..
Mr. Gauthier started his career as project geologist with Sequim, then Falconbridge Inc. for 6 years where he was involved in the Lac Short gold mine discovery. He joined Noramco Inc. in 1986 as Exploration Manager, and in 1989 became International Exploration Manager for Cambior.

Mr. Gauthier was central in the creation and implementation of the Peruvian Stock Exchange, and is broadly experienced in managing a public company focusing on mineral resource exploration. M. Gauthier has been director of the Quebec prospector association, Director of the Peruvian mining society and president of the exploration and investment committee. He has been vice president of the Exploration committee at the Peruvian Canadian chamber of commerce and to various other organizations participating in promoting mining exploration in Latin America.

Mr. Gauthier joined Maxy Gold Corp. in February 2005

 
Alan Moon
Position: Director

Alan Moon is a former senior executive with significant business experience both internationally and domestically, and brings to the board a strong and diversified business background. Mr. Moon, a professional engineer with an MBA, serves on the board of directors of a number of other public and private companies.

 
Xiaobing Mao
Position: Director

Since May of 2000, Dr. Mao has held the position of Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Western Mining Co., Ltd., one of the largest mining conglomerates in China. Western Mining, based in the province of Qinghai, focuses on the mining, processing and sale of lead, zinc, copper and other non-ferrous metal resources. Among other assets, Western owns four large and medium sizes non-ferrous mines, including the Xitieshan Pb-Zn mine which is the largest single mine in China with an annual production capacity of over 1.5 million tons of Pb-Zn minerals and 160 thousand tons of Pb and Zn metal.

Dr. Mao also serves as the Chairman of the China Mining Association and is very active in the Chinese Mining Community. Dr. Mao holds a Ph.D in Economics from Zhongnan University and was a senior engineer with the Beijing Steel and Iron Institute (1981-1985). From 1985 to 2000 Dr. Mao worked for the Xitieshan Mining Bureau, rising to General Manager of the Bureau. He is also very active in senior political positions, including People's Representative for the province of Qinghai.

 
Brian Booth
Position: Director

Brian Booth, P.GEO, has joined the board as an independent director. Mr. Booth has explored for nickel-copper, precious and base metal deposits throughout Canada, Europe and Southeast Asia for over 22 years. He is at present CEO and president of Lake Shore Gold Corp., and prior to that was Manager of Exploration -- North America and Europe of Inco Limited, one of the world's largest mining companies.

 
Thomas F. Morris
Position: Director

Dr. Morris is a registered, professional geoscientist with over 26 years experience of managing a wide range of exploration activities and programs. Dr. Morris splits his time between the Sudbury and Toronto offices. Dr. Morris joined Superior in May 2002 as a Project Manager, responsible for managing Superior's diamond exploration programs in Northwestern Ontario. In 2005, Dr. Morris was appointed Vice President, Exploration and was appointed President and CEO in July 2007. Dr. Morris has managed, designed and implemented exploration programs and geological studies for university, government and private companies, including: the Geological Survey of Canada, Alberta Research Council, Ontario Geological Survey, University of Alberta, University of Western Ontario, Lake Shore and Aurora Platinum Corp. Dr. Morris received his PhD. in Earth Sciences from the University of Alberta in 1988.
